Yellow By Nancy Lancaster
Nancy Lancaster (1897-1994) a British decorating icon was renowned for her imaginative and stylish interiors. She was supremely confident in her taste and her influence on home interiors and gardens in Britain has been immeasurable.
She was an advocate of experimentation, never minding mixing unlikely colors.
This floor is testament to the using of sticking colors to define a space. The repeat pattern in bright yellow brings a happiness and freshness to an otherwise boring room.
Even if it's not a style of architecture or period you like, a decorator has to have a feel for a house's personality and try not to fight against it. I like to get the juice out of a house and not spoil it. Nancy
